Remote Social Media Specialist
📍 Remote
This position will assist the Social Media Manager in the day-to-day execution of social media across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and potentially additional channels through writing, scheduling, strategizing, and creative ideas.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Promote FamilyLife’s blogs, podcasts, events, products, and app across social platforms.
- Assist with monitoring comments on posts and engages with them. “Like” all positive, helpful comments and respond to those that merit a response.
- Monitor reviews of our Facebook page, and leave a comment for those that give us 5 stars.
- Schedule posts using Hootsuite and potentially other applications
- Research incoming broadcast guests on subject matters, social media following, and digital presence to help determine how we may best utilize them on social
- Work with the Social Media Manager to create mood boards for each season that can dictate the look and feel of our imagery for that time period
- Stay up to speed on social media best practices and upcoming social platforms
- Consistently present fresh ideas for engaging on social media
- Assist the Social Media Manager with the overall strategy
- Assist with minor graphic design and video editing for social media on a case-by-case basis
- Stay on top of social media trends and assist with ways to implement new ideas to FamilyLife’s social strategy
Knowledge of:
- Social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
- Social media management tools like Hootsuite, and social media best practices.
- Graphic Design through Canva and/or Adobe Suite applications
- Video Editing through phone applications and/or Final Cut Pro, Adobe Suite Applications
- Knowledge of Instagram Reels
- Google Suite
